Jaina Mohan Caterers

House warming

House warming and griha pravesh catering

Griha pravesh, naming days and prayer meetings. Usually satvik, usually at home, and usually with the puja running to its own clock rather than ours.

100% vegetarian kitchen. No onion, no garlic and Jain preparations on request.

What's included

Planning a house warming

Satvik as standard

No onion, no garlic across the whole menu — not as an adaptation, but because much of our Rajasthani and ceremonial cooking is already made that way.

We work around the puja

Service starts when the ceremony ends, not at a time agreed a week earlier.

Your kitchen, our staff

For smaller gatherings we cook on site. Nothing arrives in a van looking like it travelled.

Jain preparations on request

Cooked on their own line with their own utensils.

This is the real recommendation the planner opens with for this occasion. Change anything you like once you are in there.

Planning estimates for a standard buffet, and deliberately a little generous — running out is the one thing that cannot be fixed on the night. We confirm exact quantities on the call.

Questions

What people ask

Can the whole menu be no onion, no garlic?
Yes, and it is what we would suggest for a griha pravesh. A large part of our menu is already made that way.
Do you cook at our home?
For twenty to eighty guests, yes. Above that we cook in our kitchen and finish breads and counters on site.
What if the puja runs late?
We plan for it. Service starts when the ceremony ends.
Do you do Jain food?
Yes, on a separate line with separate utensils. Tell us at booking.
What notice do you need?
A week is comfortable for a gathering of this size.
Do you cater in Vrindavan and Mathura?
Regularly, and travel is included with no stay charge.
