Wedding catering cost per plate in Agra

Per-plate catering in Agra runs from about ₹650 to ₹2,400 in 2026. That is a wide band, and where you land inside it is mostly a function of four things.
What actually moves the number
Live counters are the biggest single lever. Each one carries its own staff, its own equipment and its own consumables, and four counters can add a third to a per-plate figure on their own. A nitrogen counter or a live sushi station costs more again.
Second is the server ratio. One server per 40 guests is a functioning buffet. One per 15 is a served experience. The food is identical; the evening is not.
Third is the sweets. A menu built on mawa and dry fruit — kaju katli, badam kesar katli, moong dal halwa made properly over four hours — costs multiples of one built on gulab jamun and ice cream. Both are fine. They are not the same money.
Fourth is crockery. Melamine to bone china is a real line item and it is the one people are most surprised by.
The three things people forget
GST, which is added on the invoice and not usually quoted inside the per-plate figure. Travel and staff accommodation for anything beyond about 100 kilometres. And the guest count you actually cater for, which is the number you gave us, not the number who came — we cook for the former.
